Spiritual Support for All in Need

Chaplains in healthcare institutions provide valued spiritual care in person to patients, family caregivers and staff. Yet there is large group of people – outpatients, family caregivers, and others – who experience spiritual distress but have no chaplain available to turn to.

Telehealth is the use of electronic information and telecommunications to support long-distance clinical health care, patient and professional health-related education, public health and health administration. Telechaplaincy is the delivery of spiritual care by a Board Certified Chaplain via telehealth.

HCCN has been a leader in the field of chaplaincy for over 65 years. Our robust state-of-the-art technology allows us to deliver quality spiritual care remotely in this new telehealth era. Through the use of Telechaplaincy, HCCN believes institutions can significantly expand their existing chaplaincy expertise which may be currently restricted to in-patient, in-person to thousands more.

Telechaplaincy is for Staff Too!

COVID-19 shone a light on the concerning problem of clinical staff burnout. HCCN offers its telechaplaincy services for your staff as well, and not just patients. HCCN’s robust call center with over 100 on-call chaplains can provide telechaplaincy services anywhere across multiple time zones. We have published widely-utilized foundational papers of guidelines and best practices for the delivery of telechaplaincy by spiritual care providers.
